WILLIAM KATZMAN, CPA -- William ("Val") was previously a shareholder in the firm of Ernst & Company, P.C. and a partner at Laventhal & Horwath in charge of accounting and business advisory services. Val is a shareholder in the accounting firm of Kaplan, Katzman, Klein & Koterba, P.C. In addition to performing services related to traditional tax and accounting matters, Val is involved with KKA Financial Services, L.L.C., a related company involved with financial and estate planning, and asset management services. Val received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University in 1959. ROBERT J. KLEIN, CPA -- Bob is a shareholder in the firm of Kaplan, Katzman, Klein & Koterba, P.C. Bob began his career in 1974 with J.K. Lasser & Co. (now Deloitte + Touche), and spent over thirteen years in the automotive supplier industry, including ten years as chief financial officer of Aetna Industries, Inc. Bob received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree (with distinction) from the University of Michigan, and is currently a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. |

JILL E. KOTERBA, CPA -- Jill is a shareholder in the firm of Kaplan, Katzman, Klein & Koterba, P.C. Jill was previously an audit manager at Grant Thornton and a senior accountant at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte + Touche). Jill graduated with honors from Michigan State University receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. |

HILL, CPA, CFP® -- Jennifer graduated with her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Professional Accounting degrees from Michigan State University, and is a Member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Jennifer joined our firm after gaining four years of experience from Arthur Andersen LLP as a Senior Associate in their Private Client Services division which gave her great knowledge of tax and accounting matters. |

Marie was previously a manager in a small business department at Laventhal & Horwath where she supervised various hotel and restaurant clients along with manufacturing, real estate and various industries. She has over 35 years of experience in public accounting. Marie received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University in 1974. |

BARBARA TOWNSEND, CPA -- Barb received her degree in Bachelor of Science with a major in Accounting from Wayne State University in 1982 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987. She was previously in the tax department of Laventhal & Horwath before joining the firm. Barb has 27 years of experience in various professional service corporations along with retail and several other industries and is knowledgeable in QuickBooks. Barbara is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. |

NANCY LASH -- Nancy has over 10 years of experience at our firm as an Executive Secretary which includes such tasks as processing tax returns, typing and proofing of financial statements and various other administrative tasks. Nancy worked abroad in Australia for two years for a national public accounting firm, where she received experience in processing international tax returns, before returning to our firm. |

LESLIE SHAPIRO -- Leslie joined Kaplan, Katzman, Klein & Koterba, P.C. in September 2005 in the capacity of Administrative Assistant. She has 35 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Office Manager and Executive Secretary. Leslie also assists our clients with their personal financing such as paying bills, bank reconciliations, and opening and closing bank accounts. |
